Robert Kraft Reveals His Plans To Patriots Nation, ‘Bringing Back Tom’

Patriots fans are devastated and in fear of losing their favorite quarterback Tom Brady. As he is set to hit free agency in March, there are rumors that Brady might consider signing for another team. Patriots owner Robert Kraft was asked by TMZ Sports if there is hope of bringing back Tom to New England. Here’s what he said:

TMZ Sports: “Are we going to keep Tom in New England, Bob?!?”

Kraft: “We plan to!”

Tom Brady will be a free agent for the first time in his career and he reportedly even cleaned out his family suite at Gillette Stadium earlier this month.

Willie McGinest Also Weighs In

Brady’s good pal and former teammate, Willie McGinest also weighed in on the speculations.

“There’s a lot of us that played for the Patriots that became free agents or were traded or left the organization,” Willie said. “At some point, you either retire or move on.”

Joe Namath Skeptic

The New York Jets quarterback Joe Namath, on the other hand, doesn’t believe Brady will take his talents outside of Foxboro.

“It’s almost beyond my belief that he would go to another team under any circumstances,” Namath said. “I can’t imagine that separation. Moving out of the New England area that he’s been so accustomed to, and his family, that’s a hard thing, too. I don’t think he’ll ever leave that totally behind, I really don’t.”

But, if you’re listening to Kraft, it sure seems like they want to keep him. For now.

“Before the season started it was very important to Tom that he be free to do whatever he wanted at the end of the year. You know what I said to myself? That any person who plays 20 years for this team and helps us get to six Super Bowls, and been really selfless, has earned that right. I love the young man like he’s part of my family. Blood family. Anyone who’s done that has earned the right to control his future after 20 years. And you know, my hope and prayer is number one, he plays for the Patriots. Or number two, he retires. He has the freedom to decide what he wants to do and what’s in his own best personal interest.”

Do you think Kraft and the Patriots have a shot at bringing back Tom?
