Danny Amendola Gives His Take On Tom Brady’s Future

Young wide receivers have a hard time earning Tom Brady’s trust. Once wideouts establish a strong connection, they become great friends. That’s exactly what happened with Danny Amendola and TB12.

Few wideouts have built a strong connection with the GOAT. Amendola had incredible chemistry with the Patriots quarterback during his five years as a Patriot.

Amendola appeared Friday on “SportsCenter,” and shared his opinion on TB12 and his future plans. Brady is set to become a free agent in March, and many have discussed his future move.

“It’s going to go however he wants, I think,” said Amendola. “He’s the ultimate competitor. I think as his kids get older — Vivi, Jack and Benny — he wants to spend more time with his family. I think that’s going to weigh heavily on his decision and where he goes, and he can set that up the way he wants.

“But his competitive nature, his ability is still through the roof, and whatever team gets him — if he stays in New England or if he goes somewhere else — he’s going to bring a high level of football there.”

Amendola left the Patriots after the 2017 season. However, his friendship with Brady and wideout Julian Edelman is still great. Amendola hangs out with Edelman on a regular basis.

Is Danny Amendola right?

Asked whether the Los Angeles Chargers are an option for TB12, Amendola said, “It’s hard for me to see him in any other jersey than a Patriots jersey, so I’m holding on just like everybody else is.”

Amendola won two rings with the New England Patriots. His future is uncertain, too. The 34-year-old wideout will become a free agent in March. He was able to catch 62 passes for 678 yards and one touchdown for the Detroit Lions in 2019.

Brady’s career with the Patriots may soon be brought to an end. He can easily sign with a different team. Fans really hope that Brady will return for another season with the Patriots. He has won six Super Bowls, and everyone hopes for a seventh ring. Let’s see what happens in March. Brady still has a lot to offer.
