LeBron And Kobe Bryant Had One Final Phone Conversation Night Before Tragic Death

Lakers superstar LeBron James passed the great Kobe Bryant for third on the NBA’s All-Time scoring list. One great player passed another. LeBron didn’t even talk about his achievement. In every interview he had, King James talked about the way Bryant affected his game. He learned a lot from the Black Mamba. They talked on the phone right after the game. This was their final phone conversation.

Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and seven others died in the tragic helicopter crash in Calabasas.

Bryant and LeBron talked on the phone late Saturday night, and several Lakers players listened to the call. It was the last time they heard Bryant’s voice.

Both legends have a unique bond. LeBron idolized Bryant when he was young. They were great friends, and their friendship got stronger when LeBron joined the Los Angeles Lakers two years ago.

King James paid tribute to his idol after passing his scoring mark on Saturday night. In one of his interviews, he talked about the impact Bryant had on his game. He learned so much from the legend, and Bryant’s words will always stay in his mind.

He wanted another phone conversation

LeBron took to Instagram to pay tribute to his dear friend. He couldn’t find words to express himself, and his lengthy message reflects the emptiness Bryant’s death left in his soul. Same as every other NBA fan and player, LeBron can’t believe that Bryant is gone for good. Although he didn’t attend games, his presence was felt as every young player looked up to him. Bryant was the idol of every NBA player, and seeing him in the building was extra motivation for players. Bryant wanted to spend more time with Vanessa and their four daughters which is why he was out of the sidelines for most of the season.

Tracy McGrady said Bryant wanted to die young. He wanted people to remember him, and this detail adds salt to an open injury.

Tuesday’s game between the Lakers and Clippers was postponed. The NBA world grieves, and everyone is trying to cope with the fact that the charismatic player is gone for good. Rest in peace, Black Mamba!
