Tom Brady Addresses Dante Scarnecchia’s Retirement

The New England Patriots lost yet another member of the coaching staff. This time it was Dante Scarnecchia. The offensive line coach decided to retire for the second time in his career, and it looks like he will stay retired this time. According to Scarnecchia, it was about time that he makes this decision. He is 72, and retiring is a reasonable option for him. Scarnecchia will be remembered as one of the best assistant coaches in the NFL, and Patriots owner Robert Kraft had words of praise for him. Head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady share the same opinion on Scarnecchia’s retirement.

Scarnecchia announced his retirement Tuesday and put an end to his 36-season run as a coach in the league. Of these 36 campaigns, he spent 34 with the New England Patriots in three separate stints. This was his last stint with the team.

This is a big loss for the Patriots and the NFL. Tom Brady reacted to Scarnecchia’s retirement with a comment on an Instagram post.

“Couldn’t have been a greater man or coach! What a privilege to play and work with Dante for two decades. The definition of the Patriot Way — consistent and dependable EVERY DAY!!”

Tom Brady and his next move

The Patriots will have to fill a few holes in the coaching staff. They are all-in when it comes to winning games, and they can’t win games without a talented coaching staff. They have already lost Scarnecchia, Joe Judge and Bret Bielema in the offseason. Who is next to go? How will Belichick fill the void? He needs to pack the coaching staff with talent. Brady needs to be surrounded by great offensive players. When it comes to TB12, he needs to make a decision about his retirement.

Brady will have to decide whether he will stay with the Patriots. Is there any chance that he joins a different team? Let’s hope not. Robert Kraft can’t let Brady go. He needs to give him the salary he deserves. Brady isn’t the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL. Let’s see if the Patriots have enough money to cover Brady. If not, they may lose him.
