Danny Green Says LeBron And Davis Could Beat Shaq And Kobe In Their Primes

Lakers sharpshooter Danny Green has great words for Anthony Davis and LeBron James. According to him, LeBron and Davis can beat Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant in their primes.

This is more than a great compliment. Many would agree that LeBron is in the primetime of his career. O’Neal and Bryant were great in their primes.

At this point of the season, LeBron is averaging 25.4 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 10.7 assists per game, while shooting at 48.8% from the field. Davis is averaging 27.1 points, 9.4 boards, 1.5 steals, 2.6 blocks, and 3.2 assists per contest while shooting at 50.4% from the floor.

The Los Angeles Lakers had a sluggish start of the game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, but they were able to overcome a 14-point deficit and defeat LeBron’s former team 128-99.

In 26:14, LeBron scored 31 points and 8 assists. His third assist came for a big historic moment. LeBron passed Basketball Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas (9,061) and moved up to eighth on the all-time assists list. The king is the only small forward in the top-10 list.

LeBron didn’t have an aggressive game. Dwight Howard had game-high 15 rebounds, and he was the only other player on the team to hit 20 points in a game where Anthony Davis was out. Kyle Kuzma, Danny Green, Avery Bradley, and Alex Caruso finished the game with double figures.

The young Kuzma couldn’t extend his streak of 20-point games to three. Head coach Frank Vogel gave him a bigger role on the floor. Kuzma finished the game with 11 points on 5-13 shooting from the field, including 0-3 shooting from behind the 3-point line. Howard had more points than him.

Hopefully, Kuzma will keep his numbers up. He is hit with a huge dose of rumors, and we have fans saying that the Lakers would trade him away.

The Los Angeles Lakers are 33-7 at this point in the season. They are coming back on Wednesday to confront 18-21 Orlando Magic. Let’s see what happens in that game. Will Davis suit up for that game?
