Frank Vogel Gives Update On LeBron’s Condition After Suffering Illness

LeBron James didn’t feel good at shootaround Tuesday morning as confirmed by Lakers head coach Frank Vogel. However, the team is positive about LeBron’s status against the New York Knicks.

Not feeling good at all,” the Lakers head coach said. “But still hopeful he’ll play tonight, but we wanted to get him out of here as quickly as we could so he can rest up.”

The Lakers superstar was excused from shootaround before media members hit the practice court. King James has missed only one game this season and has impressive numbers. He is averaging 24.9 points, 7.9 rebounds and 11.0 assists for the Lakers. Los Angeles is at the very top of the Western Conference with a 29-7 record. LeBron’s team will confront the Knicks game with a five-game winning streak.

LeBron’s status is uncertain at the moment, and the Lakers will have Avery Bradley back to the lineup Tuesday. Bradley has been the team’s starting shooting guard for much of the season. He had a sprained right ankle and missed the second half of the Lakers’ win over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday.

The shooting guard received X-rays on the ankle and the results back negative. He also had an MRI on Monday which confirmed his great condition.

“I feel a lot better. Unfortunate play. The training staff did a great job of getting me prepared play today,” Bradley said. “Just a little freak accident.”

Bradley has already missed 13 straight due to a hairline fracture on the fibular head of his right leg. The head coach was concerned about the guard when he saw him on the floor on Sunday, but there’s no room for panic at the moment.

“I felt like it was going to be [more serious],” Vogel said. “First just seeing the ankle roll, and then his reaction right when it happened. It seemed like he could barely put pressure on it. But it loosened up, and then overnight, very, very minimal swelling. So he felt good today. He’s good to go.”

The Lakers have an impeccable season, and they have to stay healthy to finish it with a title.
