Jarrett Stidham Reveals His Mindset Amid Tom Brady Free Agency Situation

Pretty much everyone talks about Tom Brady and his future career. Rookie quarterback Jarrett Stidham is focused on the things he can control.

Stidham is two months away from being the only quarterback on New England’s roster. Brady will hit free agency on March 18, and he may go somewhere else. If this happens, the Patriots will have to find a replacement for Brady? Is Jarrett Stidham his heir? The Patriots may also sign another quarterback through a trade or free agency. “Right now, I can’t really think too much about all of that,” Stidham said. “I have to worry about what I need to do to prepare to enhance my game, to learn as much as I possibly can. That’s the biggest thing I’ve focused on, making a big stride from Year 1 to Year 2.”

Is Stidham ready to become a NFL starter? Only the Patriots know if he is the right person to replace Stidham.

The rookie had some great time with Brady, and learned so much from him.

“It was priceless,” Stidham said of backing up the GOAT. “It’s going to be really cool one day when I can sit there and tell my children, or my grandkids one day, that I got to be in the same quarterback room and talking about coverages and different passing concepts with Tom. He’s a phenomenal teammate, a phenomenal person, obviously a phenomenal player. There was just so much that I got to learn from him. He was obviously very open to me about stuff that he’s thought about the game of football, and stuff like that. It was great. I can’t speak highly enough of that guy.”

Is Brady returning to New England in 2020? The Patriots need him to win a title. Hopefully, they will have him around. Head coach Bill Belichick is ready for the upcoming season, and he will sure fix the damage his players caused last season. They missed the chance to win a Super Bowl, and let’s just say that they aren’t used to this. It’s a new season for the Pats!
