Kobe Bryant’s Death Prompts Important Realization For Robert Kraft

If you ask Patriots owner Robert Kraft, he will say that we should count our blessings. This comes hours after Lakers legend Kobe Bryant lost his life in a tragic helicopter crash. The Patriots owner was devastated after the information about Bryant’s death broke.

Kraft was just miles away from the Black Mamba when the NBA legend died in a helicopter crash Sunday. The Patriots owner was in Los Angeles to attend the 2020 GRAMMY Awards at the Staples Center. The arena was Bryant’s home for 20 years.

Shortly after the story was confirmed, Kraft shared his thoughts from the red carpet of the GRAMMY’s.

I’m just shocked,” he said. “It makes us all realize how we can’t take anything for granted. Seeing his beautiful little beloved daughter, (who) is 13, and I know the pride he took in her. Here we are in Kobe’s home in the Staples Center. I had a chance to see him in one of his last games here and he was such a gentleman and great competitor.”

The Patriots owner shared a moment with the legend after that game and in 2018 invited Bryant to the Patriots organized team activities.

Robert Kraft shared a powerful message regarding Kobe Bryant

Kraft received texts and emails from around 50 people, which prompted him to share a moment of reflection.

“For those of us who are privileged to wake up every day in good health and you have good family around you — make sure you give them a special hug and kiss today. Everyone should just step back and think and count their blessings.”

Quarterback Tom Brady and wideout Julian Edelman shared similar messages on social media after the crash. Retired tight end Rob Gronkowski took to Instagram to share a message and a few pics of him and Gronk.

The world will never forget the impact Bryant had on the game. He was one of the most talented basketball players, and his impact was felt. Although he didn’t attend a lot of basketball games, his presence was felt. Young players looked up to him, and they will sure continue his legacy. You will always be remembered, Kobe!
