Lakers Provide Update On Anthony Davis For The Upcoming Match vs. Thunder

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Dallas Mavericks without the help of Anthony Davis. Davis didn’t contribute to Friday night’s win over Dallas due to the nasty fall he had against the New York Knicks. His gluteus maximus injury was so bad that he had to rest. His X-ray and MRI came out clean, but Davis was expected to miss a few games due to his injury. Will he join the team in the effort to defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder?

Although the Lakers won without Davis, his status was upgraded to questionable for the game against Oklahoma City. Davis is in and LeBron is out. Danny Green will sit out the game, too.

In his first season with the Lakers, Davis played his best basketball. He is one of the best big men in the league, and his awesome play has helped the Lakers jump to the No.1 seed in the Western Conference.

Davis averages 27.1 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.6 blocks per game. These great numbers only confirm that Davis an excellent addition for the Lakers.

The Lakers may play without Davis against Oklahoma City. They have a 31-7 record at this point of the season, and this makes them the best in the West. The Lakers are also top 10 in offensive and defensive ratings. The same applies to points scored and points allowed as confirmed by Basketball-Reference.

Los Angeles made a bold move last summer, and signing the 6’10’’ scorer was one of the best decisions the front office has ever made. Davis hits three-pointers and protects the rim. He can do literally anything.

LeBron and Davis make the best duo in the NBA, but they have to stay healthy to finish the season with a championship. That’s why the team tried this hard to trade for Davis. They traded away most of the young players. The New Orleans Pelicans wouldn’t give up on Davis, but they did that in the offseason. King James is impressed with Davis’ work on the floor, and he has nothing but words of praise for his teammate.
