LeBron James Addresses Concerns About His Minutes On The Floor

LeBron James has just turned 35, and he plays his best basketball. The Lakers superstar has the most playoff minutes played of all-time and is one of the highest minutes totals of all-time. Should we be concerned about his minutes on the field?

This year, the king of basketball is averaging a career-low 35.1 minutes per game. Well, these minutes per game are only 0.1 minutes fewer than last season. The Los Angeles Lakers are playing at a much more moderate pace and they average 3 possessions fewer per 48 minutes than they did during Luke Walton’s time. In other words, LeBron has lower minutes and lower intensity.

Although this issue is still popular among observers, LeBron doesn’t pay much attention to that. It’s all about the moment and his next game.

“I don’t really think about it. I can’t start thinking about the playoffs while I’m living in the moment,” he said, adding that he also enjoys his rest during games. “If the game… presents an opportunity where I can get some rest, then I’m going to take full advantage of it.”

LeBron had a few injuries last week, he did his best recover and get ready for the next game. King James took a knee to the groin in the game against the Los Angeles Clippers and landed on his right elbow a few days later. He is stronger than ever.

The Lakers need to clinch a top-seed early to give their superstar enough time to rest. At the moment, LeBron is focused on getting his teammates through their current stretch. He is ready to finish the season like a superstar. He wasn’t able to do that last season. He suffered a terrible injury on Christmas Day. This season is different, and LeBron will make the playoffs. If the Lakers make the playoffs, they will come out as winners. That’s a sure bet.
