LeBron James, Anthony Davis and the rest of the players lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a title. Davis may lead the team in points, but Alex Carus has won over the hearts and minds of the Lakers fanbase.
Caruso doesn’t average as many points this season as he did last year, but he is a key player of the Lakers. King James had words of praise for his younger teammate.
“Pretty much every time he’s in the game he’s a plus guy. He just does so much,” he said on Tuesday. “Sometimes it shows up in the box score, sometimes it don’t, but he’s just always a plus guy. He’s going to defend at a high level, he’s going to get guys involved. He’s very smart, very tough. To have him on this ball club, it’s a luxury.”
LeBron isn’t the only Laker who praised Caruso. Pretty much every player knows that Caruso is great, and the front office decided to bring him back. Head coach Frank Vogel had something good to say about his player.
”He’s a jack of all trades,” Vogel said, via Silver Screen and Roll. “We’ve been playing him at the wing, as a defensive specialist, he can handle the point… He’s just an invaluable piece of our success this year for the variety of ways we can use him. He just has great value because of the versatility that he has to his game.”
The Lakers have a lot to offer. They play well on both ends of the ball. The Los Angeles Clippers have a tough defense, and the Lakers will have to boost their game in case they meet their rivals again.
King James praised the big men on his team and their threes.
“I enjoy when they take them: when we’re up big in the fourth quarter… Our bigs collectively this season are 5-8 from the three-point line. They’ve got a hell of a percentage. That’s their reward for battling.”
It’s a big season for the Lakers, and they won’t go home without a title. The king promised his fans to win a championship.
