LeBron James Names The Player Who Shares His Basketball IQ

Lakers superstar LeBron James knows how to recognize true potential. He has words of praise for other great players, and this time he revealed the name of the person who shares his basketball IQ.

If you ask LeBron, he will say that Kidd is the “only person alive who sees the game of basketball with his level of clarity.” The information was confirmed by ESPN’s Kevin Arnovitz.

Kidd was hired as an assistant after Frank Vogel became a head coach for the Lakers. Many said he is the head coach-in-waiting. These two can do wonders together, and we all know that the Lakers have the best record in the Western Conference. They have a 33-8 record at this point. Well, the king knows that Kidd has a high basketball IQ.

LeBron has earned his spot in the Hall of Fame. Kidd has already been given this honor in 2018 after a lengthy 19-year NBA career. He spent some time with the Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns, New Jersey Nets and New York Knicks.

Kidd was a 10-time All-Star, nine-time All-Defensive Team selection, and five-time assist champion. He averaged 12.6 points, 8.7 assists, 6.3 rebounds and 1.9 steal over 1,391 career regular-season games.

He is also recognized as one of the best playmakers in NBA history. Kidd also ranked second all-time in assists who have 12,091 right behind Utah Jazz legend John Stockton.

Kidd was an awesome player, but he has yet to become a great head coach. He was a head coach of the Brooklyn Nets in one season. Kidd spent four seasons in the same position in Milwaukee. He went 183-190 with three playoff appearances and one win.

The Lakers interviewed him for the head coaching position. Vogel took the spot, but the Lakers decided to add him as a coaching assistant.

LeBron plays well as one of his mentors, and he knows how to pull out an awesome playmaking. He is averaging 10.9 assists per game, and he actually leads the NBA in assists. This is also a career-high for him. Let’s not forget that LeBron is in his 17th NBA season.
