LeBron James Reacts To 92-100 Win Over Knicks

Los Angeles Lakers celebrated a 100-92 win over Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night. LeBron James scored 21 points (9/16 FG, 2/5 3PT, 1/3 FT), grabbed six rebounds, dished out five assists and tallied five steals. With those numbers, James is missing only 44 points for beating Kobe Bryant to No. 3 on NBA’s All-Time scoring list. After the matchup, LeBron shared his thoughts on LAL’s performance:

“Our chemistry on the court is always great, because of how much we get along off the court,” said James.

Knicks Have The Size, Lack Speed To Guard James

The Knicks are one of the few teams in the league that have enough size to guard James for the entirety of the game, but none of them are as fast or skilled as James. They didn’t have much more success with Anthony Davis, either.

“I was more of a facilitator in the second half. I wanted to try to get AD going,” James said after the win over Knicks. “He looked a little out of rhythm in the first half, so I wanted to come into the third quarter and get him going.”

James missed two free throws and the Knicks got as close as six when Morris drained a late 3-pointer and then hit 1 of 2 free throws in the final minute.

“I thought we defended really well, and these last couple of games we’re turning in the right direction,” Morris said. “Defensively, this has been our best stretch of the season.”
