LeBron Moves Into Overall All-Star Voting Lead

The All-Star Game is a hot topic these days, and we may get a chance to watch a rematch between Team LeBron and Team Giannis. The Lakers superstar has already passed Luka Doncic for the overall and Western Conference lead in fan voting for the Feb. 16 game in Chicago. Giannis Antetokounmpo is still the runaway leader in the Eastern Conference voting.

LeBron and Antetokounmpo had these positions last season. This year’s leaders will be the All-Star starters who get the most fan votes from the conference. King James was a captain in 2018. He also confronted a team picked by Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry.

Team LeBron defeated Team Giannis in 2019. It was a brilliant 178-164 win. Team LeBron also won the inaugural edition of this All-Star setting. They smashed Team Stephen in the 2018 game with a 148-145 result.

LeBron pulled out a good lead over Doncic with 82,001 votes as confirmed by the second balloting update. The king of basketball leads the West frontcourt voting with 3,359,871, ahead of Anthony Davis (3,124,446). Guess what… He has better voting than Kawhi Leonard. Who is better now?

Doncic leads West guards with 3,277,870 votes. Houston’s James Harden is on the second position with 2,167,269 votes.

In the East, Antetokounmpo has nearly twice as many votes as any other player. He dominates atop the East frontcourt balloting with brilliant 3,259,383 votes. This makes him better than Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid (1,784,211). Pascal Siakam (1,730,763) is on the third position.

Atlanta’s Trae Young (1,389,628) is better of every guard in the East. Brooklyn’s Kyrie Irving (1,351,997) is right behind him, and he is followed by Boston’s Kemba Walker (1,331,577).

Boston’s Tacko Fall is sixth in the East frontcourt balloting. Injured Stephen Curry is on the fourth position in the West guard vote so far. LeBron’s friend Carmelo Anthony owns the No. 8 spot in the West frontcourt race.

The voting will continue through Jan. 20. The starters for the game will be players picked through a system that gives fans 50% of the vote, players 25% and a media panel the remaining 25%. The official results will be announced on Jan. 23.
