Mike Florio Suggests What Tom Brady Might Be Looking For In March

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said he has used some of the tricks Peyton Manning uses in order to boost the Patriots’ offense. Will Brady use more of this when he hits free agency? The Patriots quarterback is set to become a free agent in March, but he doesn’t reveal too much about his future with the team. Brady will become a free agent for the first time in his professional career. Some say he will opt for playing with a Super Bowl contender. NBC Sports’ Mike Florio has a suggestion for Brady and his next step.

“I think we need to watch the Peyton Manning scenario where he goes to a team that says, ‘Here, you run the offense. You do what you want. You’re 40 years old — 43 he’s going to be — you’ve been in the league all these years. You’re as smart as any offensive coach. You do it,’” Florio said. “I think he wants to show he can do that and I think the Patriots may be bracing for him making that kind of decision.”

Florio made a good point, but there aren’t too many teams looking for a quarterback at this point. Pretty much every team has a quarterback option, and signing a 42-year-quarterback isn’t the best scenario.

The Los Angeles Chargers fit Brady’s criteria, and they will play at a new stadium. Well, their Super Bowl aspirations don’t look too great.

Every Patriots fan would love to see Brady join the Patriots for another season. He really loves the Patriots, and Foxboro was his home for two decades. We’d be surprised to see him sign with a new team. He likes the team, and he and head coach Bill Belichick make the best duo in the NFL. Brady and Belichick have won six Super Bowl together, and they have so much to offer. How will things go for the Patriots next season? Brady is ready to lead the team to a win. He missed the chance to win a title this season. That won’t happen again. New England won a title last season. This year was not their best.
