Patrick Mahomes Leaks What Tom Brady Told Him After AFC Title Game

Tom Brady certainly had his celebration after the 2018 AFC Title Game. However, he had something more important to do first. Brady made sure he delivers a lasting message to the quarterback he beat to earn a spot in Super Bowl LIII. The quarterback finished the match completing 30 of 46 passes for 348 yards and a touchdown.

After beating the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium in the AFC Title Game, Brady took time to speak with Patrick Mahomes. The two could spoke privately outside the locker rooms.

But what did Brady tell Mahomes?

After beating the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Mahomes revealed Brady’s message.

“The biggest thing Tom said to me was just to stay with the process and keep being who I am,” Mahomes recalled after leading his team to an AFC title. “That’s something that’s important. As a guy who’s had so much success every year he’s been in the NFL — he goes out there every single day and treats it like it’s the most important day. That’s something that I’ll try to do for my entire career.”

Mahomes and the Chiefs are now preparing for what surely will be a tough game against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV. Brady, meanwhile, is ready to kick off free agency.

Brady Hits Free Agency In March

He will hit free agency in March and while there are speculations about his future career, Brady says he’s open-minded to the possibilities.

“I’m open-minded about the process,” Brady said. “At the same time, I love playing football and I want to continue to play and do a great job. I’m looking forward to what’s ahead. Whatever the future may bring, I’ll embrace it with open arms.”

This comes as bad news for Patriots fans who don’t want to see Brady go. The harsh reality is, however, that the quarterback might be changing jersey colors pretty soon.
