Peter King Believes Belichick Would Like To Work With This Veteran QB

If you ask Peter King, he will say that Tom Brady won’t re-sign a deal with the New England Patriots. Which team is a better fit for the GOAT?

Jarrett Stidham is ready to take the role he signed up for. However, it’s unclear whether the 2019 fourth-round pick will be a starter for New England in September. The Patriots will host multiple veteran signal-callers in the offseason, and Peter King said head coach Bill Belichick would pick one of them.

“I have no idea who Bill Belichick sits in his office, feet up on the desk watching tape of who he says, ‘I really like that guy,’ whether or not the rest of the league likes him,” King said on NBC Sports. “One of the guys I think — and I know people are going to laugh at this — I think Bill Belichick would really like to work with is Andy Dalton because Andy Dalton is a football player, you know? He’s not Tom Brady. He’s not gonna go down in the pantheon, I get it. Guys who are gonna go down in the pantheon at age 32 are not available, OK?

“Russell Wilson’s not available. I think Andy Dalton would be a very compelling guy to either be their quarterback for a while or to be their bridge guy to the next quarterback or to take Jarrett Stidham under his wing as Brady did some this year and make the best of Jarrett Stidham for 2021 and beyond.”

The Cincinnati Bengals have the No. 1 overall pick and they may pick Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow. The veteran has one year left of his contract worth $17.5 million.

Let’s not forget that Bart Scott predicts that New England would end a first-round pick to the Detroit Lions in exchange for Matthew Stafford.

Things are pretty hot in Foxboro despite the freezing weather. Let’s see what happens in March? Will the Patriots open the new season without their star quarterback? If yes, who will start instead of TB12? It’s hard to make a prediction, because Brady doesn’t even talk about his contract.
