Report: Bogdan Bodganovic of Interest to LA Amid Kyle Kuzma Buzz

The Los Angeles Lakers are seeing other options ahead of the Feb. 6 trade deadline. Bogdan Bogdanovic is often mentioned in the same sentence with the Lakers, and he may end up playing alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Sam Amick from The Athletic reported that the Lakers contacted the Sacramento Kings about their veteran shooting guard.

Amick has already reported that Sacramento isn’t interested in a one-for-one contract with the Lakers involving young Kyle Kuzma. According to him, the Kings are more interested in letting their veteran become free agent this summer.

The Lakers won’t be able to get Bogdanovic without Kyle Kuzma in the mix. LeBron and Davis aren’t available for a trade, and the Lakers are comprised of veteran players with expiring contracts or non-guaranteed contracts beyond the regular season.

The Lakers’ draft capital doesn’t seem to be appealing because they own the No. 29 pick next year by virtue of enjoying the second-best record in the NBA at 30-7. It sends a top-eight-protected draft pick in 2021, pick swap in 2023 and an unprotected 2024 draft pick to the New Orleans Pelicans in the Davis deal.

Sacramento is 15-23 but they are two games behind the San Antonio Spurs in the battle for the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference playoffs.

Bogdanovich is a key player for the Sacramento Kings in his three years with the team. He is 27 and averages a career-high 14.5 points per match. Bogdanovich is shooting 38.3 percent from three-point range in the regular season.

Is he the right fit for LeBron’s team?

The Lakers have an incredible season, and they own the Western Conference. They are ready to win the championship this season, and LeBron will help them accomplish that. Davis leads the team in points and LeBron records triple-doubles. The king also leads the NBA in assists. If the Lakers keep playing at this pace, they will definitely win the first title since Kobe Bryant.

LeBron and Davis have had injuries, but they feel good at the moment. LA has a six-game winning streak, and the situation looks more than positive for the team.
