Rival Executive Details What LeBron James Wants Ahead Of Trade Deadline

The NBA trade deadline is almost here, and teams have to make a decision regarding their next step. Will the Lakers hunt for other talented players? They have LeBron James and Anthony Davis to do most of the job, but one of their rivals has a theory about the upcoming period.

The trade deadline closes on February 6, and the Lakers may try to add a new player to the roster. The team will have to sign another point guard to help LeBron. That’s what one Eastern Conference exec said.

Los Angeles has a strong season, and the team sits atop the conference. Adding more strength is always a good idea, and team execs will probably try to ink a good deal before the trade deadline.

There are so many options on the market. The Lakers will try to check out the buyout market after the trade deadline. Are they going after Andre Iguodala?

The Memphis Grizzlies are looking for a home for the former Golden State Warriors star. They don’t have much luck at the moment.

Will LA sign a player before the trade deadline?

According to Bleacher Report, the Lakers will have to refocus on signing a point guard to make things easier for LeBron. The king handles the ball with Avery Bradley or Kentavious Caldwell-Pope start at point guard and Rajon Rondo becomes playmaker in rotation.

The rival executive is convinced that LeBron isn’t happy with his point guards.

“The Lakers need another playmaking guard. Rondo’s not what he used to be,” they told Bleacher Report. “The ball sticks with him, and he doesn’t defend anymore. They need another point guard to help LeBron. If they’re going to make a trade, that’s what they need to target.”

The Lakers will have to do some math to add a big player to the roster. They gave up on a big portion of their assets to get Anthony Davis last offseason.

Darren Collison may be a target, and the good news is the fact that he plans to unretire. We’ll have to wait and see what happens in the next few weeks. Is LA really looking for a point guard?
