Rob Gronkowski Shares Rare Photo With His Mom Diane Walters

Rob Gronkowski is enjoying his time off. The Patriots tight end decided to retire last spring, and his decision shocked every fan. Most thought that Gronk would join the team for a few more seasons, but the tight end was in a lot of pain. He really needed the time off, and it looks like he really likes his post-retirement life. Gronk has just finished his first season away from the league and does some cool things in his free time. He always keeps us updated. In one of his pics, we can see the former tight end and his mother, Diane Walters, enjoying a tropical site and all the flowers around them. Gronk even picked one for his mom.

“Picked out some beautiful flowers [flower emoji][flower emoji] for El Madre! She loved it! Correction—LA Madre! Gracias!!” the caption read.

Glenn and Chris appeared in the comments section.

“When you going to get Mom some matching shades?!” Chris commented.

Glenn Gronkowski wrote, “Hi mom!”

Gronk is the most famous athlete of the family. Diane Walters raised five athletes, and four of her sons played in the NFL. Dan, Chris, Rob, and Glenn are football players. Gordie Jr. played professional baseball.

Diane Walters retired too

Gronkowski retired from the NFL following the Super Bowl win. It marked the end of an era for the mother of five athletes. Walters is no longer worried about her children getting injured.

“Following my five sons through their sports careers for 31 years, it feels like I’ve retired too,” the mom said. “If I took all of my sons’ careers individually and multiply it by five, it’s like 130 years.”

Well, her kids may be out of the sports world, but genes will do their thing, and her grandchildren will probably keep the tradition alive.

“I don’t think it will fully set in until August when there’s no more football for my sons,” Walters said in 2019. “But it will start all over again with the grandchildren, so there’s plenty to look forward to for everyone.”

Gronk had to leave the game because of the injuries that almost destroyed his body. He is in good shape now. Unfortunately, there are no hints on his come back.
