Tedy Bruschi Reveals His ‘Simple Keys’ For Patriots Against Titans

The New England Patriots will have to earn their spot in the divisional round during the wild card weekend. The defending champions will play the Tennessee Titans on Saturday at Gillette Stadium. Tom Brady and his teammates will have to pay attention to few things. Let’s not forget that they haven’t won a wild card game since 2006. Tedy Bruschi knows it best. He was part of that team.

The former Patriots linebacker knows that bringing the title home requires a lot of effort. Bruschi took to Twitter to list a few “simple keys” to this win.

Brady’s team had a tough defense this season. New England led the NFL in points allowed per game (14.1) and yards allowed per game (275.9). The champions team forced 36 in the regular season and finished with 47 sacks as a squad. Jamie Collins led the team with just 7.0 sacks. The Patriots sure try to control Titans starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill. When it comes to the offense, Sony Michel (912-7), James White (908 scrimmage yards) and Rex Burkhead (581 scrimmage yards) make a good group of backs. TB12 played games effectively with 4,057 yards and 24 touchdowns against eight interceptions.

Titans superstar running back Derrick Henry will try to shock the Patriots. He led the Titans to a 7-3 record in 10 games as a starter and threw for 2,598 yards and 22 touchdowns with just five interceptions after playing instead of Marcus Mariota. Henry leads the league in rushing yards (1,540) and rushing touchdowns (16). He finished the regular season with 796 yards and 10 touchdowns in the final six contests he played. The Patriots have a tough defense, and it has allowed 4.2 yards per carry which makes them 14th in the NFL.

Bruschi may be right and Patriots head coach Bill Belichick will probably follow the same keys. How will the Patriots finish the season? The Patriots nation hopes for another title. New England is packed with talent, and that’s exactly what they need to win this year’s Super Bowl.
