Watch: JaVale McGee Prevents Potential Dunk Of The Year By Terrence Ross

The Los Angeles Lakers are in the middle of an excellent season, and things look more than great for LeBron James and the rest of the guys. Each player contributes to the game, and JaVale McGee has been a key player for the Lakers. McGee was a staple at Shaqtin’ A Fool, and now he is an important player for the team. He is the ultimate rim protector.

McGee showcased his status as a low-post guardian by shutting down a potential dunk of the year from Orlando Magic swingman Terrence Ross.

Ross rushed up in an effort to hit a strong dunk. However, McGee jumped in and sent it away. Every fan at Staples Center stood up and cheer for McGee.

He has been a key player for the Lakers this 2019-20 campaign. He doesn’t score as much as he used to, because the Lakers have Anthony Davis taking care of the offense. Well, his season is incredible, and this block says it all.

McGee is averaging 6.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.7 blocks a game. His form started improving during his championship run with the Golden State Warriors. His incredible form has helped the Lakers dominate the Western Conference.

This block isn’t the first time that McGee put on a huge defensive effort for the team. Earlier in the season, he pulled out a good outing against the Detroit Pistons as he stacked six blocks. His opponents couldn’t really score or come any near close the basket. McGee’s dominance got so good that the NBA decided to test him for doping.

Hopefully, McGee’s dominance won’t end in near future because the Lakers need to see more of him to finish the season properly.

LeBron leads the league in assists, and Davis leads his team in points. These two make the perfect duo, and they will sure help the team win most of the games in the rest of the season. LeBron couldn’t help the team make the playoffs last season because of his injury. Everything changed this summer, and the Lakers adjusted their roster to perfection. It’s a good season for LA.
