Watch: Throwback to a Playful Memory of LeBron James Imitating Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant lost his life in a tragic helicopter crash. It was an unexpected loss, and the basketball world mourns his death. LeBron James was his close friend, and they really enjoyed each other’s company. LeBron passed Bryant for third on the league’s all-time scoring list, but they didn’t have time to meet and discuss this achievement. They did talk on the phone, and Bryant’s last posts on Facebook and Instagram were related to LeBron’s achievement. Today, pretty much everyone is remembering the Black Mamba, and we found a video of LeBron imitating the legend. It’s a nice memory.

Bryant really enjoyed the performance and had a good laugh over it. This video was probably made during their time with the US national team. It was the only team where Kobe and King James played together.

LeBron entered the NBA in 2003, and Kobe was already a great player. The Black Mamba was playing his seventh NBA season. He retired in 2016, and his presence is still felt on the floor. Days before the helicopter crash, LeBron passed Kobe. He talked about his admiration for the legend.

“As I got drafted, I still just admired him, seeing what he was able to accomplish, winning championships, being early in his career where he learned from the misses he had against the series against Utah, and he used that as motivation and got better and better and better,” he said. “I continued to admire him throughout my high school rank. Then, as competitors, just seeing the work ethic that he put into the game. He had zero flaws offensively. Zero.”

A good memory

LeBron felt good about playing alongside Bryant in the US national team. It was an honor for him.

“We take it down to 2008 when we become the Redeem Team, and it was a dream come true for me to be able to line up alongside him,” he said. “I just admired him for so many years, and seeing him from afar, and then being able to be in practices with him, and me watching and learning. It’s just too much.”

Kobe will be remembered as one of the greatest basketball players.
