LeBron James Passes Another Michael Jordan Milestone

LeBron James has made a name for himself, and he hits a milestone in almost every game he plays. In Monday’s win over the Phoenix Suns, LeBron passed Michael Jordan for fifth on the NBA’s career list.

The king of basketball, as many like to call him, has 7,328 free throws. Yes, LeBron has one more than Jordan. Oscar Robertson is on the fourth spot with 336 free throws more than LeBron. The Lakers superstar moved past Kobe Bryant for third on the NBA all-time scoring list and shoots 73.5 from the foul line.

LeBron and M.J. are part of an ongoing debate. Fans still discuss the GOAT situation in the NBA. Some go with Jordan, while others support the king.

Jordan has six championships, but LeBron is bigger, stronger, and has played longer.

It’s interesting to note that the two have never faced off in an NBA game. The Chicago Bulls legend played his last game on April 16, 2003. This happened two months before LeBron joined the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was the No.1 overall pick in the draft. Although they haven’t met each other on the floor, their paths have crossed on multiple occasions. On March 6, LeBron passed Jordan for fourth on the NBA all-time scoring list.

LeBron meets Michael Jordan for the first time

LeBron still remembers their first meeting. He was a young high school star who had yet to win a big game. Jordan was getting ready for a comeback with the Washington Wizards. The Laker talked about that first meeting this past December. For him, it was like meeting God for the first time. LeBron was a 16-year-old who has just met M.J. It was an important day for him.

A year later, LeBron became “The Chosen One” on the cover of “Sports Illustrated.” At that point, Jordan said he was a very talented player who has yet to learn everything about the game.

LeBron is still here. He is in his 17th season, and he won’t go anywhere in the near future. His team sits on top of the Western Conference, and they are going after a title this time. Game on, Lakers!
