The death of Kobe Bryant shocked the nation. The Lakers legend died too soon, and it’s really hard to overcome this loss. Every NBA fan mourns over the death of the Black Mamba. Numerous athletes have paid tribute to Bryant. Chicago Bulls legend and NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan is the latest athlete to honor Bryant. Jordan celebrated his birthday on Friday, and there was a Kobe Bryant jersey made out of flowers at the celebration. It was incredible and emotional.

Bryant’s legacy will keep living. He was a successful person on and off the court. Bryant was one of the most iconic athletes in the basketball world. Many young athletes looked up to him. His word helped a lot of people. Bryant was a wise man, and he knew how to do the right thing at the right moment.

In his 1,346 games with the Los Angeles Lakers, Bryant averaged 25.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. He cemented himself as the best Laker of all time.

The Black Mamba had so many awards added to his name. He was an 18-time All-Star, two-time scoring champion, 15-time All-NBA team member, two-time Finals MVP and five-time champion with the Lakers.

Last year, the Lakers retired Bryant’s No. 8 and No. 24 jerseys. Bryant will become a first-ballot Hall of Famer as part of the 2020 class.

Jordan isn’t the only NBA legend to pay tribute to Bryant. LeBron James got a tattoo. His teammate, Anthony Davis, did the same. Shaquille O’Neal’s son, Shareef, got a Kobe Bryant tattoo as well.

The Lakers paid tribute to Bryant before the first game. LeBron held a speech, and talked about Kobe’s greatness and his success on and off the floor. Everyone respected Kobe and his influence. He was the idol of so many athletes. Young players wanted to be like him.
