NFL Executive Reveals Tom Brady’s Most Likely Team in 2020

Tom Brady has spent his entire professional career with the New England Patriots. He’s been a Patriot for 2 decades, and now he is about to enter free agency. Is there any chance for Tom to sign with a different team in 2020? One NFL executive has a theory.

Brady may become a free agent for the first time in his lengthy career. A lot of teams have shown great interest in the quarterback, including the Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers.

Mike Sando of The Athletic released a report about this. According to his article, an anonymous NFL executive views the Patriots as the best landing spot for Brady. The exec considers the Raiders a fallback option.

“They don’t need the bang the way the Chargers do, but I think they (Raiders) would like it and I do think where there is smoke, there is fire, and some of that stuff that comes out about Carr and Gruden is probably true,” an exec said. “The Raiders become a fallback position for Brady in my view. If it turns out Brady really wants to get away from Bill Belichick and he is out of there no matter what, then I think the Raiders become the next best possibility.”

The Raiders will have to try really hard to snatch TB12. Derek Carr is still here. However, the team may take the matter to a completely different level. The Raiders are willing to give Brady a two-year contract worth $60 million.

Will Tom Brady play for a different team in 2020?

Mike Florio of NBC Sports noted that Fitzgerald Sr. has been a media member for decades. In other words, he would never come up with a fake report. Some of his connections come due to his son, Arizona Cardinals wideout Larry Fitzgerald.

“Although this one (like the Bernie Smilovitz report of Matthew Stafford trade talks) doesn’t come from someone with an extensive track record of breaking NFL news, my knee-jerk reaction is to believe it, for several reasons. First, I know Fitzgerald Sr. and I’m prepared to say that, if he’s saying it, he’s definitely hearing it from someone who would know. Second, he’s in position to have heard it from someone who knows what’s going on, given the people he knows in the broader NFL structure, thanks both to his own connections and his son’s. Third, although the window for talking to agents about pending free agents doesn’t open until March 16, there are too many teams and too many quarterbacks for the process of preparing and making offers not to have already begun.”

Try not to ignore the word “fallback.” A lot of people would share the same opinion with this NFL executive.

There was another report of Brady and the Patriots. The team may give Brady $30 million per season.

The free agency starts on March 18, and Brady has a lot of time to think of the best decision for his career. His family is here, too. Brady puts his family first.

His health condition is great, but some team owners are worried about his sustainability. Brady was added to the injury report on multiple occasions in 2019. He was even listed as questionable in Week 12.
