Former Patriots Receiver Wants to Play With Tom Brady Again

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is the best player in the NFL, and every wideout wants to play with him. Now we have this former Patriots receiver and his statement on TB12. Can you guess his name?

Ladies and gentlemen, we give you Antonio Brown.

According to the latest reports, Brown wants to play with TB12. He is more than positive about Brady’s opinion on the matter. The wideout said that Brady shares the same opinion as him. Brown said that Brady has also discussed playing with the former All-Pro receiver again.

Brown had an interview on “The Breakfast Club,” and talked about his connection with Brady.

“You got to have a relationship with the quarterback,” the receiver said. “Quarterback is everything. Especially for a wide receiver, you’ve got to have a relationship … (and) I just think Tom is a special quarterback — his leadership and him affecting the guys around him, just putting players at peace and encouraging them to work as hard as he work.”

When asked if he’d ask to play with Brady again, Brown said, “We would like to make it happen.”

Brown spent just 11 days with the Patriots. The team released him in less than two weeks. Although his time as a Patriot was short, TB12 was really upset when the Pats cut Brown.

“He went all-in trying to make it work,” Tom E. Curran of NBC Sports Boston wrote, “got close to Brown and tried to understand and help him.”

Will the Patriots sign the former receiver?

This doesn’t really come as a surprise. The Patriots struggled a lot when they cut Brown. The offensive unit struggled, and the team ranked 16th in passing touchdowns and 18th in yards per attempts in 2019.

When asked of the Raiders, Brown addressed his time with the team. You probably know that Brown never played in a regular-season game with the team after being a big-time offseason addition for the team.

Brown doesn’t really have a preference when it comes to his destination in 2020. However, he left an open possibility to join the Raiders.

“I just want to be on a team that protects my well-being,” Brown said. He confirmed the reports that he has talked with Las Vegas coach Jon Gruden. “Hopefully,” he will join the team.
