Patriots Have The NFL’s Toughest Schedule Next Season

Most NFL teams spend too much time complaining about the New England Patriots and their schedule. Most coaches say that quarterback Tom Brady and his team always get the easiest schedule. Well, this is about to change, because the Patriots will have a rather challenging schedule in 2020. Things will get even messier if Brady doesn’t re-sign with the team.

Patriots opponents had a .537 winning percentage in 2019. We will have the list of dates and times in mid-April. However, we’ve been familiar with the opponents, and yes, there are two Super Bowl teams. They have a road game against the Kansas City Chiefs, and the San Francisco 49ers will come at Gillette Stadium. There are five other games against teams that hit the payoffs. This includes the Buffalo Bills, the Houston Texans, the Seattle Seahawks, and the Baltimore Ravens.

Having a tough schedule is a motivation for the Patriots

New England is matched up with the AFC West and NFC West for non-division opponents, and this adds coast-to-coast trips to the schedule. The Patriots’ AFC East rivals have tough schedules as well. The New York Jets have the second, the Miami Dolphins third and the Bills the fifth-toughest schedule.

Baltimore has the easiest schedule. The Ravens have won the most regular-season games in 2019 and earned the AFC’s No. 1 seed in the playoffs. Their opponents had a combined .437 winning percentage in 2019.

Things are already tough for the Patriots. Brady’s pending free agency is a major issue at the moment, and coach Belichick will have to find a solution to this problem. He may also have to find a replacement for the star quarterback. TB12 has spent 20 years with the team, but there’s a possibility for him to play with a different team. The Las Vegas Raiders may offer him a contract. The Los Angeles Chargers and the Tennessee Titans have shown interest in TB12, too. It’s a long offseason, and Belichick has a few ideas to try. If Brady goes somewhere else, Belichick will have to find a replacement. Hopefully, Brady will make a decision prior to the start of the free agency. This will give the Patriots plenty of time to find another quarterback.
