Rob Ninkovich Addresses On Patriots-Tom Brady Free Agency Situation

Tom Brady’s pending free agency is making the hottest headlines these days. He is the greatest quarterback player of all time. Will the New England Patriots lose their star quarterback in March? There are so many questions fans would like to ask. Rob Ninkovich has a theory about the current situation involving Tom Brady and his free agency.

The former Patriots linebacker and ESPN analyst talked to Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald. According to him, if Brady leaves the team, the Patriots may not be able to “lure new guys in.”

Playing alongside Tom Brady is like a dream come true for every aspiring player. Building chemistry with the GOAT is a rather important achievement. Brady knows pretty much everything about the game, and playing with him means winning a lot of games. If Brady leaves the Patriots, many free agents will give up on the idea of signing a deal with the team. Brady is the pillar of the organization. He is the star quarterback. If someone within the organization is able to attract free agents, that’s Brady. This is the theory Ninkovich presented.

Is Rob Ninkovich right about Tom Brady and his free agency?

He may be right about this one. Brady has spent his entire career with the Patriots. Players who are interested in winning a Super Bowl usually end up signing a deal with the Pats. The organization relies on Brady and coach Bill Belichick. If Brady is the GOAT, Belichick is the GOAT among NFL coaches.

“It’s going to be difficult to try and bring everybody back. I would think if Tom comes back, one of those other players comes back,” Ninkovich said. “But if Tom doesn’t come back, I don’t know if those guys are going to want to stick around. Because what’s the outlook for the team? Is it a rebuilding phase? What happens moving forward?

“That would be a hard sell. In years past, the Patriots have been able to get guys at a bargain, because it’s an older veteran, a guy who’s looking for a Super Bowl, for a playoff run. They’re approached by the Patriots, who say, ‘Look, we’re not going to guarantee the biggest contract, but we’re going to give you an opportunity to play in the playoffs and Super Bowl if you’re interested. Ninety-nine percent of the guys are ‘yeah, I want some validation for my football career.’’’

New England may lose a lot of players in free agency. Devin McCourty, Kyle Van Noy, and Jamie Collins are set to hit the open market on March 18.

Belichick is more than enough when it comes to attracting free agents, but without Brady, the team will have a hard time getting talented players.
