Anthony Davis Gives Update On His Knee After Scary Injury Vs. Memphis

The Los Angeles Lakers really need to win this title. The team can’t afford an injury at the moment. However, Lakers superstar Anthony Davis bumped knees with Memphis’ Josh Jackson Jr., Anthony and suffered an injury. The superstar had to run up and down the court for two consecutive possessions, and it was obvious that he was in pain. The Los Angeles Lakers has to sub Davis out. He walked to the locker room right after being treated on the bench. Davis sat in the trainer’s room for an entire quarter. Did this injury affect the game?

Are you worried that Davis may have suffered a debilitating injury? There’s no room for panic. Your fear was unfounded. The team diagnosed Anthony with a strained right calf. This injury did not stop the superstar, though, from succeeding in the final three quarters en route to a 117-105 win over Memphis on Friday at Staples Center. Davis was able to finish with 28 points on 8-of-17 shooting along with 13 rebounds and seven blocks.

Lakers coach Frank Vogel described this play as “another Defensive Player of the Year type of night.” The superstar has fulfilled that job description with his ability to stay strong on the floor.

“As long as they tell me it’s nothing serious, I’ll go out there and play,” Davis said of the Lakers’ training staff. “You don’t know until you check all the boxes. But anytime they tell me I’m cleared and it’s not going to hurt me to go out there and play, I’m going to try to go out there and play.”

A knee injury won’t stop Anthony Davis from winning a title

Davis has spent his first campaign in Los Angeles in front of a group of fans who thought that Davis will leave the game due to an injury. In his seven seasons with the New Orleans Pelicans, Davis missed at least seven games in each season due of various injuries. He had problems with his left index finger, back, left knee, right shoulder, left hand and left ankle. The superstar sat for 26 games last year, and the Pelicans wouldn’t trade him. Luckily, they found a good reason to get rid of Davis and traded him in an exchange for a bunch of young Lakers athletes.
