Barstool’s Dave Portnoy Destroys ‘Idiots’ Who Think Tom Brady Will Leave Patriots

Tom Brady knows how to make people talk, and his pending free agency is the hottest topic these days. The New England Patriots have yet to reach an agreement with Brady. There are several stories about the team and the storied quarterback. Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy destroyed those who say that Brady will leave the New England Patriots.

Portnoy is a diehard Patriots fan, and he has a great relationship with Brady and other members of the Patriots organization. When asked about Brady’s offseason move, Portnoy went crazy.

“Listen! Tom Brady is not going anywhere,” Portnoy says. “Anybody who says he’s going anywhere is an idiot!! The Patriots offer [Brady] the best chance to win the Super Bowl. They’re offering him the most money or close to it. He just wants to feel wanted which I don’t blame him! Mark my words, there’s a ZERO-POINT-ZERO-POINT-ZERO percent chance he’s leaving New England. Zero! it may be less than zero!”

Dave Portnoy is right

We shouldn’t take this for granted. Portnoy sure knows what he is talking about. He’s got some nice connections, and his words don’t come out for nothing.

When it comes to Brady and his NFL future, the quarterback is pretty tight-lipped about the whole thing. His wife, Gisele, doesn’t talk about it either. She was asked about their next home, and Gisele said she doesn’t know anything. She may be right about this one.

Brady feels really good with his current team. Although he has received several offers from other teams, Brady will probably stay in New England. The Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Chargers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have shown interest in the quarterback. Some reports suggest that the Raiders will give Brady a two-year contract worth $60 million. They have a new stadium, and the tax situation is a lot different in Las Vegas.

The Patriots have yet to meet with Brady. His agent will meet with the Patriots at the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine. This will be their first meeting, and both sides will share their take on the contract situation. Where will Brady go in 2020?
