LeBron James did a reverse dunk in the game against the Houston Rockets at Staples Center. It was pretty similar to the dunk Kobe Bryant did 19 years ago. Now, his son, Bronny, did the same Kobe Bryant dunk. We saw the video footage of Bronny’s achievement. The kid mimicked LeBron’s and Kobe’s moves during the pregame warmups.
LeBron revealed that his dunk wasn’t premeditated. However, he was grateful for the pic NBA photographer Andrew D. Bernstein made. He signs the iconic photograph.
“I didn’t really predetermine that either until I jumped,” LeBron said.”I just jumped and kind of figured it out, and then … it’s crazy how it’s the same exact dunk, the same exact hoop that Kobe did [it on] — what, 19 years ago or something like that? That was nice.
“When I saw it for the first time, I was like, ‘Holy s—, that is an unbelievable photo.’ And then when I found out how it was taken: Andy literally had one snap on his remote to get that, and when I saw the video of it, when I was in the air, you can see the flash in the background. I was like, ‘Oh, that is … He’s the real MVP, for sure.'”
Bronny did an amazing Kobe Bryant dunk
When it comes to Bronny’s replica dunk, LeBron was really proud of the boy. In this way, Kobe’s legacy will stay here forever.
“I was watching social media today, and my son did the same thing in his warmup. He didn’t do it in a game, but he kind of did the same dunk in his warmups today. So, Kobe — he’s in all of us right now.”
Bryant lost his life in a helicopter crash. He was traveling with his daughter Gianna and seven others. Investigators have opened an investigation into the crash, and the official report will be finished in a year. It was an awful crash, and the world lost a big legend. Kobe was one of the greatest players to ever take the court, and NBA fans will never forget him. His memorial will take place on Feb. 24.
