ESPN Insider Gives Update On Tom Brady-Patriots Contract Talks

Tom Brady’s pending free agency is the hottest topic these days. TB12 will hit the open market for the first time in his professional career. There have been so many theories about his next move. For the first time in his career, Brady’s future is uncertain. Will Tom Brady re-sign a contract with the Patriots?

It’s more than obvious that the New England Patriots want Brady back on the roster. He gave the organization six Lombardi Trophies. Without Brady, the Patriots will go through an awful drought. He is their only quarterback option for the season. Head coach Bill Belichick doesn’t even have a replacement for the six-time Super Bowl champion. Jarrett Stidham has a long way to go before he takes the starting position. It looks like the team is waiting for Brady.

Brady is 42, and he will be 43 at the beginning of the 2020 season. Will TB12 stay around for a few more seasons? Will he really play until he is 45? Let’s not forget that Brady’s body coach, Alex Guerrero, said that his partner and friend will play until he is 46 or 47.

Brady’s age isn’t the only problem New England will have to solve. Will they add more offensive weapons for the star quarterback? Brady had a bad season because the offense was terrible.

Will Tom Brady re-sign a contract with the Patriots?

The free agency will start in a month. NFL teams will be able to interview players. Robert Kraft, Belichick, and Brady will have to reach an agreement. However, they haven’t even started the negotiations.

According to ESPN Patriots insider Mike Reiss, there has been “no movement” on the contract situation.

“The Patriots are expected to seek clarity on Brady’s intentions before the start of free agency on March 18, because his decision will have a significant trickle-down effect on the team’s overall plans. With no movement to date, I’m sticking with 80% odds on Brady’s return at this time.”

Where will Brady go? The Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders are in the game. Both teams have expressed their interest in the star quarterback. A recent report suggests that the Raiders will give Brady $60 million for two seasons. Things may easily take an unexpected turn for the GOAT. If he leaves the Patriots, they will have to start all over again.
