Frank Vogel Admits He’s Fully Aware of ‘Playoff LeBron’ and Why Rest of NBA Should Be Worried

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel has nothing but words of praise for his superstar player LeBron James. Vogel has high expectations for LeBron and Anthony Davis. These two can do wonders on the basketball court, and Vogel is well aware of that.

Vogel is confident about LeBron’s role in the playoffs. He made a prediction of what LeBron will look like next to his superstar teammate once the postseason starts.

“Just an extension and notch higher of what we’re seeing,” Vogel said. “Every team is different. His role and the parts around him have been different throughout his career. But the way he is playing right now with the shooters around him and the vertical spacing around the rim with JaVale (McGee), Dwight (Howard) and AD, we’re ready to play through Anthony and all the other ways that we do. I think it’ll just be an extension of that and a heightened version of that.”

Prior to 2018-19, LeBron had reached the NBA Finals in each of the previous eight campaigns. During that period, King James joined forces with Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love.

Davis joined the Lakers during the offseason. Many would agree that he is the best player that LeBron has ever played with during his long career.

Their success, paired with the immense success of the Lakers as a whole this season, offers great hope that the team will take part in an extended playoff run. This would definitely be much different from the postseason drought hat the team has experienced in the past six seasons.

LeBron will keep bringing up his best. He is ready to win a championship, and many say that this is the only thing he needs to cement himself as the GOAT. This will be a long season, and the Lakers have just entered the second half of the season. They have a 42-12 record at this point of the season. In other words, they stand on top of the Western Conference. Let’s see what happens in the next few months. Will the Lakers win their first title since Bryant’s retirement?
