LeBron James Sends Message For Dwyane Wade As Heat Retires His Jersey

Dwyane Wade had great success with the Miami Heat, and he won a lot of games with LeBron James. Wade’s Jersey was retired on Friday night, but LeBron couldn’t accompany his friend and former teammate during the ceremony. He couldn’t travel to Miami to support Wade. The Los Angeles Lakers had a game that evening and LeBron was busy winning it.

The king decided to make up for his absence, and delivered an emotional message for his friend as the team raised number 3 in the rafters of the American Airlines Arena.

LeBron said it was inevitable that Miami would retire Wade’s jersey when they picked him fifth overall in the 2003 NBA Draft. The Cleveland Cavaliers made LeBron a No. 1 pick at the same time. In addition to this, LeBron suggested how Wade’s eventual statue would decorate South Beach.
