LeBron Speaks Out On Kobe Bryant, Responsibility To Represent Lakers

The basketball world suffered the biggest hit in the entire NBA history. The nation lost an incredible person. We lost Kobe Bryant. The Lakers legend died in a helicopter crash on Jan. 26., and we can’t get over the loss. It’s hard to imagine the sidelines at the Staples Center without the Black Mamba. Kobe will be remembered as one of the best basketball players to ever play the game. He retired a few years ago, and his presence is still felt on the floor. Lakers superstar LeBron James is one of the many players to pay tribute to Kobe. He got a Black Mamba tattoo on his leg, and his teammate, Anthony Davis did the same.

The Lakers paid tribute to Kobe in the first game they played after his death. There will be a memorial on Feb. 24. But, LeBron has something else on his mind. He is ready to pay tribute to Kobe in his own way. Winning a title with the Lakers would definitely be the best way to honor the legend. According to LeBron, it’s up to his team to represent Kobe the proper way.

LeBron couldn’t find the strength to talk about Kobe

LeBron was available at the All-Star media day on Saturday, but he didn’t want to talk about Kobe. This is a painful topic for him. LeBron cried on the day Kobe died. He cried when the Lakers paid tribute to the Black Mamba.

He’s watching over us,” he said. “It’s our responsibility to represent the purple and gold… I don’t really want to sit up here and talk about it too much. It’s a very sensitive subject but he’s with us every day.”

LeBron will need a lot of time to get over Kobe’s death. The same applies to every NBA fan, player, and coach. Kobe was an incredible person, and everyone loved him. His words of wisdom inspired a lot of young athletes. Everyone looked up to Kobe. It wasn’t just his game. He was an amazing man and a devoted dad of four. His lovely wife, Vanessa, lost her husband and Gigi on the same day. Words can’t describe her pain. That’s why LeBron didn’t want to talk about Kobe.
