NFL Analyst Reveals New Details Behind Patriots’ Will To Pay Tom Brady $30 Million-Plus

The New England Patriots will definitely try to keep quarterback Tom Brady on their roster. Brady is set to become a free agent on March 18 for the first time in his professional career. Team owner Robert Kraft and head coach Bill Belichick have great plans for the star quarterback. There were reports about the Patriots and their will to give Tom Brady $30 million this offseason. According to latest reports, the Patriots have yet to set a parameter. In other words, the organization didn’t really like the previous report.

Ian Rapoport from NFL Media fueled the fire with his report. He wrote that the Patriots will offer Brady at least $30 million to keep him on the roster. Of course, we wouldn’t deny the fact that Rapoport is a tuned-in reporter. But, NBC Sports Boston’s Tom E. Curran is an informed reporter, and he busted Rapoport’s report.

“And while my understanding is that the Patriots are willing to extend themselves financially to keep him, Belichick will receive no edict from the owner on what to do. The Sunday report that the Patriots were willing to go north of $30M (presumably for one-year’s salary) to keep Brady, which came from Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, has been a source of irritation for the team this week. My understanding is no parameters have been set. That number is now an albatross to the proceedings. The proceedings themselves? They will have to get underway soon, because the timeline for negotiations is a huge wrench in this process.”

Will the Patriots give Tom Brady $30 million?

Things are getting really hot in New England despite the freezing temperatures. We will get more information in the next few weeks. Brady is doing a great job in New England, and he likes the organization. The Patriots like him, too. But will they give him $30 million? Brady is worth all the money in this world. Let’s not forget that the Patriots won six Super Bowls in the past two decades. Brady spent every day of his career in New England? Why would he go somewhere else? Even Joe Montana told him to stay with his current team. Brady will turn 43 in August, and he will probably pay a few more years in the NFL. Why would he spend the final years wearing a different uniform? We’ve seen great players make that mistake. Hopefully, Brady won’t make it.
