Watch: LeBron James’ Highlights Against Memphis Shows That Age Doesn’t Count

The Los Angeles Lakers opened their post-All-Star break schedule with a 117-105 win over the visiting Memphis Grizzlies on Friday at Staples Center. For most analysts, this game was actually a Western Conference first-round playoff preview. This game confirmed what all of us already knew. Age has nothing on LeBron James. The king of basketball was brilliant in the game. Yes, LeBron led his team to a win over the Memphis Grizzlies, and it was beautiful.

King James led all scorers with 32 points on an efficient 10-of-17 clip. Lakers big man Anthony Davis crushed the opponents on both ends with 28 points, 13 rebounds and seven blocks. The superstar missed part of the first half to a right calf injury suffered one minute into the game. Davis posted his stat line in just 31 minutes. Avery Bradley added 14 points and three steals. In other words, the Lakers were pretty successful last night.

The 42-12 Lakers won their fourth straight and sixth in seven. Memphis has lost two consecutive games, and now stands at 28-28.

LeBron James’ game against Memphis said it all

It’s time for all the haters to stop talking about LeBron’s performance. The king won’t go anywhere in near future, and his performance is sharp. He is doing an excellent job with the team. If you ask his former teammate Dwyane Wade, he will say that LeBron will sure play a few more years. Four, to be more precise.

Although LeBron and Wade entered the league at the same time, LeBron’s career went upwards. Wade was a brilliant player, too, but his performance dropped in the final years of his career. LeBron now leads the Lakers to the NBA Finals, and this would be the greatest affirmation of his greatness. He promised his fans to win a title, and yes, that’s exactly where he is gong now.

LeBron had a terrible debut with the Lakers, but his groin injury came when no one expected it. LeBron joined the Lakers to win games, and he spent a huge portion of the last season at the Lakers sidelines. That’s not what he signed up for. These wins fit the scenario better.
