Anthony Davis Gives Blunt Message to LeBron James MVP Doubters

Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is the NBA MVP favorite at this point of the season. However, Lakers superstar Anthony Davis has something to say about all the doubters. Davis was referring to his teammate LeBron James and his MVP run.

When asked about people who have doubts about LeBron, Davis gave a blunt response.

“They need to watch the last two games,” Davis said Sunday. “I mean, what he’s been able to do; taking on matchups defensively, leading the pack offensively, making the right plays, you don’t see that from a guy who is 17 years in the league. And his team is number one in the West. He’s continuing to show the world why he’s the best. And if people don’t understand that, then [after] the last two games, I think they understand now.”

King James made a huge statement with his performance over the weekend. We can’t ignore the fact that he was impressive on both offense and defense. Of course, the season isn’t over yet. If the three-time champion keeps playing at this level, Giannis fans will have to change their mind.

Davis will help LeBron James to win the NBA MVP award

Davis’ performance should be ignored either. His impressive game was really important for the team’s last two games. He scored up 30 points against the Clippers and the Bucks. It was a big challenge and he accepted it.

Davis is averaging 26.7 points a game this season. He has helped the Lakers win games. This time last season, the Lakers were already eliminated from the playoff run. Today, they’re the number one seed in the Western Conference. LeBron is clearly the MVP of the team, and Davis’ job is amazing.

According to Davis, the game against the Clippers is what basketball is all about.

Chippy. Defensive-minded. Scrappy,” Davis said. “The best type of games is when you come out of there with bloody lips and scratches and, you know, guys taking charges and guys chirping. Those the type of games that you live for. The fun games in basketball that every player in this locker room wants.”
