Julian Edelman Shares One Word To Sum Up Relationship With Tom Brady After QB’s Departure

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is leaving New England. He decided to leave the Patriots after two decades. Brady will always be a Patriot. He will always be family. That’s what wideout Julian Edelman says. The wideout took to his Twitter account to share a photo of him and Brady. He used one word to bring it all.

“Family.”

This sums pretty much everything their relationship represents. Brady and Edelman have spent a decade in New England. They now each other perfectly. For Brady, Edelman is like a brother.

So, when Brady announced that he would be leaving the team early Tuesday morning, it sent a shockwave through the team. Of course, the initial shock wore off later in the day. There was just one major question. How did Edelman accept the news?

Julian Edelman and Brady are brothers

Edelman has been Brady’s sidekick for most of the decade. The college quarterback was picked in the seventh round. He later became one of Brady’s most trusted targets. TB12 was Edelman’s big brother in the locker room. They have an excellent relationship off the field, too. Their strong bond carried over to life away from the field.

This is a rather touching post by Edelman. He is in no doubt hurting at this time. He was on a mission the last couple of weeks to keep the GOAT in New England. Edelman even launched a line of “Stay Tom” merchandise.

Well, Edelman will probably keep the shirts for himself. It holds no meaning now. Brady is gone. Let’s see what happens next. We can’t wait to see the best of Edelman in 2020.

When it comes to Brady, he will have to adjust to a completely different roster. He will have to play with a different team. Head coach Bill Belichick won’t be his head coach now.

Belichick and Patriots owner Robert Kraft released statements right after Brady announced his departure from New England. They both respect and love Brady. He has been a key player for two decades and now he is gone. No one will ever replace Brady and his greatness. Good luck, TB12?
