Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Says LeBron Would Be The Perfect Player For The 80s Lakers

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar really likes where the 2019-20 Lakers are going. He had words of praise for Anthony Davis and even compared him to himself. He also praised LeBron James. According to Kareem, King James would be an excellent addition to one of the best teams in the history of basketball.

The icon was answering questions from his fans on Twitter night. One of these questions caught everyone’s attention. When a fan asked which player he would add to his Lakers team from the past, Kareem gave the best response.

“great question! Without a doubt Lebron and The Lakers would be the right team,” the icon replied.

In the 80s, the Lakers were the most powerful team in the NBA. They had a great game and impeccable style. This gave them the nickname “Showtime.” LA won 5 NBA titles in that decade and became the Kings of the NBA.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar praises LeBron

Can you imagine LeBron alongside Magic Johnson, Kareem, Michael Cooper, and James Worthy? That would be insane. LeBron has all the athleticism, power and speed to win a title.

LeBron has great numbers in All-NBA First-Team selections, rebounds, assists, blocks and overall field goal percentage. He also hit a lot of milestones and records. That’s not something you underestimate that.

King James is known as a facilitator. He is the only player in NBA history with at least 34,000 points, 9,000 assists and 9,000 rebounds. LeBron is the ninth player to record 9,000 assists.

The Lakers superstar averages 27.1 points per game. He has an excellent performance in the postseason. He has great accuracy from the field, assists, and rebounds. LeBron has played in 239 playoff games.

LeBron scored 34,087 points in his career. Kareem has 38,387. If the king keeps playing at this pace, he can easily pass the great Kareem.

LeBron is in his 17th season in the NBA, and he isn’t going home without a title. Of course, LeBron will have to wait for NBA officials to open the new season. Hopefully, the coronavirus will disappear in the near future. Let’s hope for the best. We need to stay strong and wash our hands.
