Knicks Owner James Dolan Joins Kevin Durant, Rudy Gobert Among NBA Figures To Test Positive For The Virus

The coronavirus hit every country in the world, and the number of infected individuals has reached its peak. Utah Jazz player Rudy Gobert was the first to test positive for coronavirus. The NBA decided to suspend the regular season after his results came out. Several other players tested positive, and we also know that New York Knicks owner James Dolan registered a positive test.

Dolan doesn’t have any symptoms at the moment. When it comes to Gobert, he and his teammate Donovan Mitchell, have both fully recovered from the virus. The Athletic’s Shams Charania confirmed the information.

The Los Angeles Lakers have two positive players. Three members of the Philadephia 76ers have the virus. The Denver Nuggets have one positive test result. Celtics guard Marcus Smart tested positive. In other words, there are 15 individuals from eight different franchises.

Four Nets players have positive results, including Kevin Durant. The superstar hasn’t played a game due to his torn Achilles tendon. He didn’t really plan to return at this point.

Knicks owner James Dolan isn’t the only positive NBA person

NBA spokesperson Mike Bass released a statement on the number of active players who tested positive for coronavirus. The statement was released last Tuesday.

“Public health authorities and team doctors have been concerned that, given NBA players’ direct contact with each other and close interactions with the general public, in addition to their frequent travel, they could accelerate the spread of the virus. Following two players testing positive last week, others were tested and five additional players tested positive. Hopefully, by these players choosing to make their rest results public, they have drawn attention to the critical need for young people to follow CDC recommendations in order to protect others, particularly those with underlying health conditions and the elderly.”

We believe there will be more players who test positive for COVID-10. The virus is extremely contagious. The situation doesn’t look good at the moment. About 719,000 people struggle with COVID-19. Over 33,000 have lost the battle. Let’s hope that the situation improves in the next period. This outbreak will have a negative impact on the entire world and our economy.
