Lakers’ JaVale McGee Has Had Enough Of 2020

The NBA went through a lot in the first three months of 2020. We can’t say it has been a terrible year. It wasn’t terrible. It was horrifying. JaVale McGee has had enough of 2020, and he wants it to be over.

The Lakers veteran took to his Twitter to share his thoughts on 2020, and we can relate.

First, the death of former NBA commissioner David Stern shocked everyone in the basketball world. He died at 77 after suffering a brain hemorrhage.

Then, we lost Lakers legend Kobe Bryant. The Black Mamba died in a helicopter crash and he was traveling with his daughter Gigi and seven others. The Lakers had a hard time going through the loss. Kobe was an icon, and his name made history.

Now, the NBA decided to suspend the regular season because of the coronavirus. Utah Jazz All-Stars Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell tested positive for the virus. The entire team is in quarantine.

JaVale McGee could have won a title in 2020

McGee and his teammates own the best record in the Western Conference. If this is the end of the season, it will be nothing but “a buzz kill” for a Lakers team. The Lakers had a really good chance of winning the title. LeBron James and Anthony Davis would have made it happen.

McGee played in 61 games for the team so far. He’s averaging 6.8 points and 5.8 rebounds while shooting 64.0 percent from the field and 65.3 percent from the free-throw line.

The Lakers played the Brooklyn Nets at Staples Center in their last game. It was an unexpected loss for the team. Lakers fans really wanted this title. It would have been the best tribute for Kobe and his girl. The coronavirus affected every aspect of the game, and players may not hit the big floor again this season.

According to NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, the NBA will be on hold for at least a month. During that time, NBA players will stay in their city. Practicing in facilities isn’t recommended at the moment. Every player will have plenty of time to hang out with the closest family members.
