Lakers Provide Bold Update On Players Condition Amid Virus Outbreak

The coronavirus is not a joke, and more than 600,000 people have it. Sadly, over 33,000 people died as a result of complications caused by the virus. COVID-19 hit the NBA, too. League officials suspended the season for 30 days. It all started when Rudy Gobert from the Utah Jazz tested positive for coronavirus. Initial reports showed that two Lakers players have the virus. There’s a new update on the situation.

According to the team, these players have shown no symptoms. Mark Medina from USA Today confirmed the information.

Lakers players have completed their 14-day home isolation, and no one has shown any symptoms.

Colin Ward-Henninger, Jack Maloney and Sam Quinn of CBS Sports have confirmed 15 cases of coronavirus in the league. Kevin Durant and a few of his Nets teammates tested positive. The New York Knicks also has the virus. We don’t know the names of the Lakers players who have it.

Lakers players feel fine amid the virus outbreak

Anthony Davis said he tested negative for coronavirus. However, this didn’t change anything and he stayed in isolation.

“It’s kind of tricky because some guys, you feel fine and you could have it, asymptomatic. And some guys you have all the symptoms,” Davis said. “I felt fine and I felt great. Still do. [At the time] I was like that doesn’t mean I don’t have it. We all showed up and took the test. It was fine.”

The 14-day quarantine will be of great help in the process. Authorities are doing their best to stop the spread of the coronavirus among NBA players. Unfortunately, this won’t make a big difference in the global concern about COVID-19.

Recent sources have confirmed that there are over 182,000 confirmed cases in the US. This led to 3,700 deaths as of Tuesday.

The situation is more than serious. For now, all you have to do is wash your hands, stay home and practice social distancing. These three things will help the world win the battle. We need to stay united in this one. Do your best and follow the guidelines. We don’t need any more deaths on our backs. It all starts with you.
