Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is pretty serious about his Taco Tuesday tradition. This time the king took the whole thing to a completely different level. The LeBron James Family Foundation fed 340 I Promise School kids and their loved ones. King James donated chicken, beef tacos, rice, beans, tortillas and pretty much everything you need to make a tasty taco. It was a great Taco Tuesday for people in his Akron.
LeBron also supported a restaurant in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. The restaurant had been affected by the coronavirus outbreak. The same thing happened to every restaurant in the country.
This was a very special Taco Tuesday, and the king will do it all over again next week. LeBron’s foundation tries to deliver more food to at-risk Akron families. This is part of his I Promise program.
Taco Tuesday for Akron!
called Akron Family Restaurant co-owner Nick Corpas to ask for help. LeBron needed a hand in the process. He prepared the orders right away. Prepping the meals was real fun, and he started it on Monday.
Corpas and his people arrived early on Tuesday to finish the meals. The food was transported into volunteers’ cars. Each food tray would a family of 4-5 members. This was a great dinner for nearly 1,300 people. LeBron is such a great person. Corpas is awesome, too! These two made wonders, and people in Akron are more than happy.
Akron Family Restaurant is a block away from St. Vincent-St. Mary. If by any chance you don’t know, it’s the high school LeBron attended. The three-time NBA champion enjoyed his food there during high school. People in Akron enjoyed the food at the restaurant, so it all makes sense. LeBron made a nice pick, and he made a lot of people happy.
“It’s been tough,” he said. “We’ve been here for 35 years. We’ve got a name for ourselves. We do good business. In the long run, yes, we’ll be fine.”
has affected millions of people worldwide and over 16,000 people died. The
number is on the rise, and things don’t look good at the moment. Authorities
are trying to find a way to stop the spreading. Sadly, they will have to try
even more. It’s hard to keep all those people under control. Many people don’t follow
the rules these days.
