LeBron James Sends Warning To The NBA Over Coronavirus Fears

Lakers superstar LeBron James shared his thoughts on the coronavirus. The NBA may force players to play in empty arenas due to the existing fears. The league asked all 30 teams to prepare to play games without their loyal fans.

The four-time MVP doesn’t approve this move.

“We play games without the fans? Nah, that’s impossible,” LeBron told media members after the Lakers’ win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday. “I ain’t playing if I ain’t got fans in the crowd, that’s who I play for. I play for my teammates and I play for the fans, that’s what it’s all about, so if I show up to an arena and there ain’t no fans in there, I ain’t playing.

“They can do what they want to do. I ain’t never played in a game without fans since I started playing ball. I don’t give a damn. This ain’t Europe. They can do what they want to do, go ahead.”

The NBA will make a decision over the coronavirus fears

The NBA asked all 30 teams to develop processes for “communicating quickly and effectively with team and arena staff who are/aren’t essential for this purpose.”

The coronavirus gave us all a big scare, and the situation may escalate at any moment. The virus has claimed the lives of thousands of people, and hundreds of thousands of people are infected. It started in Wuhan and was later spread to many countries in the world. Authorities have released a list of necessary prevention measures. Sadly, this isn’t enough as the number of victims is on the rise. The measurements include regular washing of hands and avoiding crowds.

LeBron doesn’t need all those fans to win games. His Los Angeles Lakers sit on top of the Western Conference. Winning the game over the Milwaukee Bucks was a great thing for LeBron and his teammates. It was like winning a playoff game. Giannis Antetokounmpo couldn’t defeat the king. This will be a big season for the Lakers and they have a chance to win the first title since the Kobe Bryant era. How will the season end for LA? Hopefully, LeBron will snatch his first title as Laker.
