Metta World Peace Gives His Take On 15-Year-Old LeBron James Vs. Michael Jordan

The GOAT debate revolves around LeBron James and Michael Jordan. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar keeps hitting milestones with every game he plays. But, there are still players who say that the Chicago Bulls icon is the GOAT. Metta World Peace has something to say about this.

We all saw the image of a scrimmage between young King James and a 40-year-old Jordan. This was enough to trigger an avalanche of reactions.

“LeBron at 15-years old was killing it. But nobody at that age could give MJ a run for his money. MJ would have averaged 35 if I didn’t break his ribs. He averaged 25 and he had to sit out 3 months…at 38 years old. LeBron was definitely killing it. He was big and strong and they couldn’t guard him.”

LeBron and Jordan are recognized as the two best basketball players in the history of sports. Jordan has 6 titles and six NBA Finals MVP awards. LeBron won three championships, but he has a 3-6 record in the Finals.

King James was on his way to earn his fourth ring this season. His team earned the best record in the Western Conference standings. It was more than obvious that LeBron and his guys would make the NBA playoffs this season. But, the NBA suspended the regular season due to the coronavirus outbreak. We don’t know if the season will continue. LeBron was averaging 25.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 10.6 assists while shooting 49.8 percent from the field, 34.9 percent from beyond the arc and 69.7 percent from the free-throw line.

The Bulls icon finished his NBA career with averages of 30.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.3 assists. Let’s not forget that Jordan was the 1988 Defensive Player of the Year. LeBron will have to chase that award in the next few seasons.

LeBron has three years left of his contract with the Lakers. This will probably be the end of his career. Will he earn another title during that time? Absolutely. LeBron has Anthony Davis on the roster, and his team works perfectly at the moment. They have incredible chemistry on the floor.
