Minimum Timeline For NBA 2019-2020 Season Revealed

The NBA made a decision regarding the regular season. The coronavirus outbreak forced the league to suspend the season. At least two players have the virus. Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert and guard Donovan Mitchell have coronavirus, and now the entire NBA is shut down.

The growing concerns surrounding the coronavirus reached a boiling point in the NBA Wednesday night. League officials announced their decision to suspend the season. They canceled game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Utah. Shams Charania from The Athletic confirmed the information.

Gobert issued a public apology on his Instagram account. The NBA player thanked everyone for their support and concern. The diagnosis gave Gobert fear, anxiety and embarrassment.

The NBA season is suspended

Mitchell also confirmed that he has coronavirus. Gobert was careless in the locker room and touched his teammates and their personal belongings. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski confirmed the information. According to Charania, Gobert and Mitchell are the only Utah players to test positive for the virus.

“We are working closely with the CDC, Oklahoma and Utah state officials, and the NBA to monitor their health and determine the best path moving forward,” the team said in a statement.

Players from the Thunder weren’t tested for coronavirus and left the building. Jazz players are quarantined inside of the Chesapeake Energy Arena. A group of people tested the players, and they will stay at the arena until the results come out.
