Quinn Cook Calls Coronavirus Test ‘Worst Eight, Nine Seconds Of Your Life’

The Los Angeles Lakers had a terrible experience these days. Players had to do the coronavirus test because four Brooklyn Nets players tested positive for coronavirus. The Lakers played the Nets right before the outbreak. The results came back within a couple of days, and two players tested positive. We don’t know their names, but Quinn Cook and JaVale McGee don’t have the virus.

For Cook, this was one of the worst experiences he has had in his life. He had nothing but words of praise for team’s doctors. Cook appeared on “The Posted Up” podcast with Chris Haynes and shared his experience.

“It’s the worst eight, nine seconds of your life,” he said. “It’s something that I wouldn’t wish on anybody, but something that had to be done. And our doctor did a really great job of keeping everybody away from each other…. well the Lakers did a good job of keeping everybody away from each other.”

Cook said his teammates felt the same. Everyone took to their group chat and shared the same sentiment. It was hard for everyone to accept the sad reality.

“Our doctor really went one by one and gave everybody a test,” Cook added. “Everybody had the same reaction… it was funny. We’re all going off in the group chat about how painful and uncomfortable it was, but it was something that needed to be done.”

The two Lakers players have tested positive have started a 14-day quarantine to slow the spread of the coronavirus. The same applies to every other player on the team. Infected players will have to isolate themselves instead of spending time with their families.

The NBA decided to approve these steps in order to flatten the curve of coronavirus. Officials suspended the regular season for 30 days, and they will later provide an update on the situation.

NBA players can’t wait for the hiatus to be brought to an end. They really want to take the court again. Hopefully, they will be able to do so. LeBron James and his teammates don’t miss a chance to enjoy a good home workout.
