The New England Patriots will enter the new season without star quarterback Tom Brady. The Patriots nation has to get used to the new development of events. Brady decided to leave his team after 20 years in the organization. We can’t really imagine seeing him put on a different uniform. Well, Brady is going with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this time. That’s not all. A new wide receiver is signing a contract with New England.

The Patriots signed Damiere Byrd. Well, it’s funny, because it’s unclear who exactly will be throwing to him next season.

The 27-year-old comes to the Patriots after a short tenure with the Arizona Cardinals. He has 32 receptions for 329 yards and a touchdown. Byrd had spent the previous three seasons of his career with the Carolina Panthers.

The wide receiver will sign a contract with New England

NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo released a report of Byrd’s contract with the Patriots.

“This is where I usually say, ‘And his next pass will be from Tom Brady’ but, ya know…” Garafolo wrote.

The wide receiver will earn up to $2.5 million in his one-year deal with the New England Patriots.

New England is a little tight on salary cap at the moment. They have lost a few players too free agency. This includes Kyle Van Noy, Jamie Collins and Danny Shelton. Let’s not forget that Brady has left the organization, too. The GOAT will probably will probably sign a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. According to initial reports, the team will give Brady $30 million. Of course, we don’t have any more information about the duration of the contract. Maybe they will go with two years.

On one occasion, Brady said he was ready to play until 45. His friend and body coach, Alex Guerrero claims he can play until 46-47. Brady will turn 43 in August. So, he will have to plan his next few years.

Head coach Bill Belichick will be super busy this season. He will have to add more talent to his roster. How will he replace the void Tom Brady left behind? Let’s wait and find out. Brady will be missed.
